The staff, quality of service and hotel presentation surpassed the reasonable price of the hotel. The valley view rooms and the gourmet restaurant will make you want to stay longer.

Quiet and Clean Restuarant looked very nice and public areas very nice

Our room was very cramped and the 'Forest view' was not quite what it sounded like ! The Food was ok but not the gastronomic treat we were looking forward to

The restaurant was excellent for dinner, I tried tasty dishes. The bed was comfy, the amenities included a balcony and a seating area.

Nothing I didn't like to be fair.

    amazing dinner

I stayed for 3 nights in an ECO Double Room at Forest Side. The views were fine, and the staff were really helpful. Breakfast was superb, and dinner was amazing with unexpected tasty surprises. Christine, our host, was good and shared great local tips. Can't wait to return 🌟

The hotel is very pleasant - an oldy worldy charm. The breakfast was nice and the staff were helpful if not somewhat overstretched.

The rooms are very small, bathrooms in particular.

Liked our good sized and compact rooms in this place.

Nice place to visit, did not want to leave there. Everything was really good, very amiable staff, magnificent location really close to Belgium and beautiful views across the Belgian countryside from the rear. We had breads, pastries and meats in the morning.

The views are fine, offering a panoramic look over Flanders that's hard to beat. The hotel location is perfect for visiting nearby WW1 sites.

The dining experience leaves a lot to be desired. The restaurant seems to lack adequate food options and suffers from slow service, which can significantly impact your evening. The breakfast lacked variety, with limited hot food options and peculiar rules about what could be prepared. Not to mention, the hotel charges prices that seem high for the level of service and amenities offered.

The hotel is lovely! The location is fabulous and the view is the best I have ever seen, I could have gazed at it forever! The bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful and pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, it was a joy!

I wish we had paid the extra for a room with the view over Flanders, it would have been worth every penny.I don't have anything bad to say, we loved it!!

The staff were extremely helpful. The Valley View room was worth the extra cost as the hotel is in a wonderfully elevated position. The Restaurant is exceptional with the 'Poppy Menu' good value for money.

The price of a bottle of wine in the restaurant is really high - I do not expect to have to pay almost £50 for a bottle of Cote du Rhone (admittiedly it was a good bottle)..A map showing location of hotel from the centre of Kemmel would have been an advantage

Food is excellent. Valley view rooms give a view of 25 miles or more on a clear day.

Food is excellent . A varied and substantial breakfast is included.

    noise from adjacent rooms

The fine views of Flanders fields from our room. The spacious room provided a cozy getaway for us and our children, complete with family-friendly features. The staff was friendly, and their attention to detail was evident in how they accommodated our needs . Breakfast was a good experience, offering fresh and delicious options each morning.

We did encounter some noise from adjacent rooms, which affected our relaxation at times.
